Introduction:
This initiative is to show respect to the females behind the mic. The focus is on the ladies that do Hip Hop and Soul amongst other genres. Ladies of the Mic aims to facilitate in making the ladies behind this music known and give people an opportunity to see them under one blanket. More pillars make a building stronger. More females working together can only mean great things for music.
The Compilation:
selects female artists from different genres. Some more well known than others. This will be a 10 track compilation that will be released as per public demand which will see different submissions coming in from all over the country and/or the African continent. The 1st compilation will be free to the masses with the aim of promoting the brand.
The Brand:
We will profile the artists on the website and place all contact details so the public can be able to have access to them. LOTM will also act as a marketing tool for the ladies involved, working to get them interviews with different media sources and also get them performances when the opportunity arises. It is also then up to the ladies to take the brand and their music to the next level. The plan is get the music and the artist on a bigger platform and give the ladies an opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves.
